Glory is a thing
or some thing
that shines
or makes things shine
just because
of what it is
or what it finds in them
Kind of like Love
maybe
if the love is of the right kind
like the kind that doesn’t separate
Like the kind that says,
Don’t be afraid
You’re good
There you go
Shining
as though you were my Beloved
or something
Like the Light of the world
or something
Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I love this poem very much. I love the thought of how great God is and how much we can reach folks with care when we shine His light. A big job, one I would like to be better at

Hi Rose, thank you for stopping by. I’m so glad to hear the poem is a lovable little thing 🙂.
I’m curious about the last sentence of your comment, about what sparked that thought.
From what I read of your writings, you are that shining light already for the people around you and for your readers. 🙂

That is very kind, thank you. I want to be, but you know living up to Jesus example is a tall order
